Black Mountains South

On the northern side of Camelot lie the Black Mountains, the gateway to the rugged lands of Albion. It was here that the Highlanders renewed their allegiance to the Britons in the wake of Arthur’s death, for it was on their shores that invaders from Midgard and Hibernia first arrived. Faced with the threat of invasion, in addition to the pictish tribes that still dominated much of the northern coast, the Highlanders went south.

The Highlanders founded the town of Humberton, though most spread all over the realm, providing assistance wherever needed. Though somewhat brutish by Briton standards, a trait mainly attributed to past intermingling with Norseman traders, their help is never turned away.

Though a far cry from the rugged hills of their homeland, the Black Mountains are still a sight to behold. Just keep your wits about you, for dangers still lurk in the old mines.
