Earning your Epic Armour (Hibernia)

Step-by-step guide to getting your Epic armor on Hibernia in Dark Age of Camelot (Eden)

Once you reach level 35, you are able to begin the first part of your epic armour quest-line, a three part quest-line which will reward you with a full set of armour with decent stats and a unique appearance inspired by your class.

Parts two and three will be available to you at levels 40 and 45, respectively.

All three parts will be given to you by king Lug Lamfhota in his throne room in Tir na Nog.

Part 1: The King’s Quest

After picking up the quest from the king, head to the nearest Channeler and select Droighaid. Once you arrive, you are to talk to Caibre. He can be found standing on the wall in the eastern part of Droighaid, watching over the river to the north.

Caibre will ask you to go to the Fomorian Homestead to the northwest and kill the Mysterious Messenger, who can be found underneath a wooden canopy near the southeastern corner of the homestead. Be careful as you make your way towards the homestead as there are quite a few mobs between it and Droighaid. If he is not there when you arrive, he has probably been killed recently and should re-spawn within the next ten minutes.

Once the Mysterious Messenger is dead, it is back to Caibre for a quick check-in. Caibre will then send you back up north to kill Fomorians in order to get 5 Sealed Parchments. You can simply return to the Fomorian Homestead and kill the Fomorians around there for the five parchments. Make sure you have at least 1 free spot in your inventory in order to get the parchments.

Once all 5 Sealed Parchments are yours, return to Caibre in Droighaid and pick up the stack of Sealed Parchments from your inventory with left-click and then left-click the stack onto Caibre to give them to him. Caibre will then task you with kill Uileog in the frontiers.

Talk to Emolia the channeler in Droighaid to teleport to Crair Treflan. Once there, simply run east along the road, through the large relic gate and continue until you reach a large standing stone on the side of the road. Uileog will spawn right next to it, if he is not already there.

Once Uileog is dead, you’re off to see the king again. Run back the way you came or cross the river to Dun Ailinne to teleport back to Crair Treflan, and then talk to a channeler to return to Tir na Nog.

Once back in Tir na Nog, run to the king’s throne room and he will reward you with a cloak.

Part 2: The Realm Calls

Next, the king will ask you to travel to Necht to talk to Jyrlan. Head out of the throne room and talk to Channeler Garl and select Necht. Jyrlan can be found inside Necht, slightly to the right when you enter, near the wooden watchtower.

Jyrlan will ask you to kill a combined 20 of Treants and Vigilant ones, both of which can be found right outside Necht up the hill across from the town. Vigilant Ones should be friendly to you from the start, so no need to worry about them. Take care not to wander aimlessly into treants or cutthroat vines.

Once 20 are dead, return to Jyrlan and he will send you out into Mount Collory in the frontiers to kill Oak Man, a hate-filled and withered treant. Talk to Orsularia the channeler and teleport either to Druim Caim and walk out into the frontier or to Crair Treflan and then teleport to Druim Cain’s exterior from the teleport stone there. Oak Man is just a short trip down the hill from Druim Cain and can usually be found not far from the heading northeast.

Once the spiteful twig is dead, run back up to Druim Cain and talk to a channeler to return to Tir na Nog because it is time to see the king again. This time he will reward you with a belt.

Part 3: The Final Trial

For the final trial, the king sends you off Aalid Feie in the Vale of Balor. Here you are to talk to Chrriptax, the mantis. Chrriptax can be found right behind you as you teleport into Aalid Feie and will task you with killing a combined total of 20 of his wayward kin. Ixthier Reapers, Decimaters, Creeprs and Doomcallers can all be found in a great swarm just across the river from Aalid Feie. Mind your positioning when fighting members of the swarm, as you can easily find yourself overwhelmed if you are not careful.

Once you’ve slain 20, return to Chrrptax in the grove and he will ask you to to kill the arachite Sjor in Yggdra Forest. Talk to Iridinya the channeler in Aalid Feie and have her send you to Crair Treflan. From here you have several options for getting to Yggdra Forest:

The safest is also the most time-consuming and involves you buying a boat to Bledmeer Faste from one of the docks in Albion’s frontier and, once you arrive at your destination, diving down deep underwater and following the river which travels the length of the frontier until you reach Yggdra Forest.

Alternatively you can take a boat to the coast of Midgard and follow the mountain wall east for a stretch before turning north and cutting across most of Yggdra Forest.

Sjor can be found right next to Arvakr Faste in the small copse between the keep and the mountain to its west. Take care not to anger the guards at the keep or the nearby bears, wolves and other arachites. Once Sjor is dead, you can suicide on the keep guards of Arvakr Faste and release back to Crair Treflan without suffering any loss of experience or constitution. Once back in the relic town, talk to any of the Channelers and have them send you back to Chrriptax in the grove of Aalid Feie once more.

Chrriptax will task you with killing the treant, Goldenleaf, on the island of Allta Fearann. Talk to Iridinya once more and have her send you to Necht, then walk around the side of the town until you find Zrrazk the mantis who will sell you a wyvern ticket to Krrzck. Once you land in Krrzck, talk to Dalniver for a second wyvern ticket straight to Allta Fearann. Once you land on the island, head due west until you reach a copse of large trees and standing stones, wherein Goldenleaf dwells. Once the tree lies splintered before you, use your personal bind stone to return to civilization and return to Tir na Nog in order to inform the king of your success.

King Lug will have one final task for you: To kill the vile Fiacha Qua (“FQ”) who stalks the World’s End. This will require at least a dedicated tank and healer. Find Channeler Garl and have him send you back to Necht, then return to Zrrazk and buy another ticket to Krrzck and another ticket to Allta Fearann from Dalniver. Do not fly all the way to Allta Fearann but choose to jump off the wyvern once the river along which the wyvern flies start to bend west. Land in the river to avoid falling damage and then head up the cliffs to the east, taking great care not to run wildly into the monsters who stalk its ridge. Fiacha Qua can be found a moderate distance south of the entrance to Galladoria. The monster does not possess any special mechanics and should prove little challenge to you and your group.

Once the fight is over, return to the king and he will reward you with a full set of epic armour, featuring a unique appearance for your class.
