Earning your Epic Armour (Albion)
Step-by-step guide to getting your Epic armor on Albion in Dark Age of Camelot (Eden)
Once you reach level 35, you are able to begin the first part of your epic armour quest-line, a three part quest-line which will reward you with a full set of armour with decent stats and a unique appearance inspired by your class.
Parts two and three will be available to you at levels 40 and 45, respectively.
All three parts will be given to you by king Constantine in his throne room in Camelot.
Part 1: The King’s Quest
After picking up the quest from the king, head to the nearest Channeler and select Wearyall Village. Once there, turn slightly right and head up the hill with several rocks jutting out and a large tree at the top next to the town and talk to the Old Knight. He will direct you towards the zombie-infested town east of Avalon City to kill the Mysterious Messenger.
The messenger spawns in the back of the northern most building in town, on the first floor. There are quite a few zombies around so mind your step when approaching the building. If the Mysterious Messenger is not there when you arrive, then he was most likely killed recently by another player. He should re-spawn within ten minutes. Once the Mysterious Messenger is dead, return to the Old Knight on the hill next to Wearyall Village. You can either run back or use your Personal Bind Stone to return to your bind location and talk to Channeler.
The Old Knight will then send you up north once again, this time a bit further, to Caddug Keep. Here you will be required to slay enemies until you get 3 Sealed Parchments. I recommend sticking to the enemies outside the keep if you are solo. The parchments are not a guaranteed drop, so depending on your luck, you may be here a while. Make sure that you have an open spot in your inventory in order to receive the parchments. Once you have all three, it’s back to the Old Knight on the hill once again. This time, you will have to give him the parchments to advance the quest, so left-click the stack of Sealed Parchments in your inventory and left-click on the Old Knight once you have them picked up. The Old Knight will then direct you to kill Nasher in the Northwest part of Snowdonia. Head down into Wearyall Village and talk to Apprentice Unsee to get teleported to Snowdonia Fortress.
Once at Snowdonia Fortress, head towards the exit out into the frontiers and use the nearby Portal Stone to teleport to Dinas Emrys, Caer Hurbury or Caer Sursbrooke and make your way towards Nasher in the northwest from there. Be on your guard as you make your way to Nasher as this area can see heavy traffic from other realms doing their own versions of The King’s Quest. Once Nasher is dead, run back to one of the above mentioned locations and teleport back to Catterick Hamlet, Dinas Emrys, Castle Sauvage or Snowdonia Fortress to talk to a Channeler and return to Camelot.
Back in Camelot, make your way to King Constantine to complete part 1 of The King’s Quest and get your reward.
Part 2: The Realm Calls
Next it’s off to Fort Gwyntell to talk to Syhtric. You can travel straight there from the Channelers in Camelot. Once you arrive in Fort Gwyntell, Syhtric should be standing right in front of you. Head on over and talk to him and he will instruct you to kill 20 Drakoran Mystics, Condottieres or Medics at their camp to the west. This step can be a bit infuriating as every enemy will need to be pulled far away from the camp, otherwise the Drakoran Medics in the camp will continuously heal your target.
Once you’ve killed 20 different Drakorans in total, it’s time to head back to Syhtric for a brief update and then straight back to the Drakoran Camp to kill the named Drakoran “Sr’ral Dulss.” Once he is dead, it is once again back to Syhtric and then on to the frontiers.
From the Channeler in Fort Gwyntell, teleport to Catterick Hamlet and if Albion holds Caer Boldiam, go there next. From Caer Boldiam simply head straight north from the northern watchtower on the island, across the river and through the copse until you find Delfina. Kill her and then it is time to return King Constantine for your second ward.
Part 3: The Final Trial
Staring off the final act you will need to head back to the Channeler and travel to Caer Diogel. Once you arrive, head up the ladder near the stable or up the stairs next to the stables, then head into the western tower on the keep’s wall and talk to Meb.
Meb will first task you with killing 10 Thrawn Ogre Trashers and Guardsmen. These can be found around Krondon, both outside the natural mountain walls and inside near the entrance to Krondon itself. I recommend sticking to killing the ones outside, as you can easily be overwhelmed inside if you are by yourself.
After ten total Thrawn Ogres has been killed, you must next head to the Dales of Dewey to acquire five Orbs of Animation. Return to Caer Diogel and talk to the Channeler to travel to Fort Gwyntel and head southwest towards the workshop around which the Sentry Marks one to four patrol. Killing them does not guarantee an Orb of Animation drop so you might be here a little while depending on your luck. Make sure to have a spot in your inventory to be able to receive the orbs. Once you have all five orbs, return to Meb and give him the orbs by dropping them onto him.
Meb’s final task for you will be to kill Ronat in the frontiers of Hibernia. This can be very tricky since you are basically running the full breadth of an enemy frontier, most likely while very under-geared and maybe during intense action. The safest way of getting to Ronat is by taking a boat to Dun Crauchon from any of the dockmasters in your own frontier and then when you arrive, quickly diving down to the bottom and swimming the majority of the way towards Cruachan Gorge underwater. Make sure to get the underwater breathing debuff from the Camelot Cleric realm enhancer in Catterick Hamlet or bring a Nereid potion before you embark.
Alternatively you could also sail to either Dun Crimthain or the Hibernia Coast and then either follow the western zone wall from Dun Crimthain down into Cruachan Gore, or cut across straight west from coast of Hibernia in the vicinity of Dun Bolg.
Ronat will not put up much of a fight and should be an easy kill. Once you are done with him, simply run towards Dun Ailline and let the guards there kill you. Then you can release back to Catterick Hamlet without any experience or constitution loss and talk to Vaughn’s Apprentice or Channeler Zuln to return to Caer Diogel and talk to Meb one final time.
As his final request, Meb will ask you to retrieve the Mind Control Orb from the orcs of Inishail Island and present it to king Constantine. This part can be very tricky and almost impossible solo, so bringing a few friends for this and the final step after it, is recommended. To get to Inishail Island, you can talk to Vilmalin outside Caer Diogel on the left as you exit the main gate. He will sell you a dragonfly ticket to Clifton. Do NOT ride the dragonfly the entire way or you will be instantly killed upon landing. Once the dragonfly has taken you across the border into Gwyddneau, be prepared to jump as it nears the great river splitting the zone in two. Once on the ground, cross the river and continue west until you reach the sea. Swim across the sea until you reach the shores of Inishail Island, then make your way to the northwest corner of the island. Avoid going straight through the large swamp in the middle of the island as it is full of enemies which can be hard to spot before it is too late.
Once at the orc encampment, clear out the enemies patrolling in front of Chieftain Toca’s hall and right-click the floating Mind Control Orb once you are out of combat. Each member of your party will have to do this in order to get quest credit. When you are done here, return to king Constantine for a quick chat and then it is off to finish your adventure with one final boss fight.
Talk to the Channeler in Camelot and select Fort Gwyntel, then head out the gate and continue straight north until your group reaches the Village of the Damned. In the large ruined house to the north in the village you will find Ris’nir Cruss, the Drakoran you and your group needs to kill. He does not have any mechanics of which to speak, he is simply higher level than players can attain and therefore at least a dedicated tank and healer will be required.
When the beast is slain, make one final trip back to king Constantine and he will award you with a full set of epic armour, featuring a unique appearance for your class.
