Vanern Swamp
DRAUGAR AND JÖTNAR SHARE THIS FETID SWAMP
In the foggy swamps of Vanern, mighty footsteps drown out the labored breaths of walking corpses as well as regular swamp life. That the waters here still sustain any life is impressive, for it is a most foul place. Yet still, spiders, vipers, lizards and frogs still happily make their homes here, in muddy holes or rotted trunks, out of reach of the undead and beneath notice of the wandering giants.
The few loremasters who have cared enough to study this unsettled area of Midgard have all agreed that the veil between this world and the Otherworld is thin here. Perhaps if life and death is disrupted here, the veil can be torn and allow access.
