To the arachite, none are as hated as the svartalfar and dvergar. It was them who drove the arachite further and further toward the surface, until they finally felt the sun’s cruel rays upon their multifaceted eyes.

While Myrkwood has been the doom of many surface dwellers, it was here that the arachite found safety under the thick impenetrable canopy of the pine forest.

And it was here that they once again dug deep. First by themselves, then by their slaves. First to fall to their malice were the svartalfar who also made their home in Myrkwood. Next came the dwarves of Midgard. It is said that no arachite has ever directly killed a dwarf since they were first banished from their subterranean home, preferring instead to simply work them to death.

A veteran party of adventurers who decide to challenge themselves in these winding tunnels deep beneath the earth, should prepare themselves for anything. The depths are not just home to the various species of arachite and their slaves, but also their spider pets, wild cave trow, and much more.
