Oceanus Boreal
THE ANCIENT FORTRESS STANDS SILENT WITNESS TO ALL ARRIVALS
The gentle, warm northern oceans of Oceanus Boreal hides many secrets and artifacts. Most of which would be best left alone. In the south is the island of Mesos, which means The Middle in the Atlantean tongue. Whether this refers to its location in the Atlantean kingdom or something more abstract is not known. Preliminary reports from explorers mention something best described as “a pillar of shadow” occasionally emanating from the ruins but what this means or what could be causing it is unknown. None care to venture too close and the discarded journal found nearby has yet to be fully translated.
Northeast of Mesos are the ancestral spawning grounds of the Stygian Delta’s many crocodiles. They are cantankerous beasts at the best of times and will surely not take kindly to anyone threatening their eggs.
Northwest of Mesos are The Summon Islands. Who or what these islands supposedly summon also remains a mystery. Vague mentions of both the sun and the moon have been translated from nearby plaques.
Further northwest is the ancient fortress of the Sobek people. The silhouettes of sentinels on the walls have been spotted but they seem utterly disinterested in the goings-on of our people.
