Myrkwood Forest
THE DARK HOME OF THE TROLLS
Myrkwood is an ancient forest and within its depths lurk ancient horrors. It is home to home to svartalfar, werewolves, arachites, in addition to all the traditional beasts one should expect to find deep in foreboding forests.
It is little wonder then, that this is also the home of Midgard’s strongest defenders: The Trolls.
With both skin and strength of stone, neither black elf magic or werewolf jaws do much damage and neither do they survive their encounters with these great lumbering brutes.
Should anyone wish to prove themselves and brave the dangers of Myrkwood Forest, then pay special attenting to the southern border of the forest, this is where the svartalfar live. The center of the western lake is home to the werewolves’ own frontier in their war against Midgard. And finally, in the northern forest are the arachite: bipedal spider creatures who hate all living things, especially surface dwellers, and will gladly grab any careless adventurer to bring back to their mines in the underground home to slave away until only good for feed for their spider pets.
