Gripklosa Mountains
THE VALLEYS OF THE MAMMOTHS
Gripklosa Mountains are, as the name might imply (at least in the Norse tongue) home to many griffons. It is a land of valleys and peaks, and where the peaks are the uncontested domain of the griffons, the valleys are regularly trampled by herds of mammoths. They migrate through here as the seasons change, heading north in the summer and south during the winter, usually guided by a great matriarch.
The town of Bjarken is the northern most point in the Valkyns’ effort to destroy their oppressors. It stands in stark contrast to the eastern frontier’s town of Hagall in Faraheim. Where Hagall enjoys lush plains and sparse forests, Bjarken is surrounded by cold, hard stone on all sides and Morvalt patrol the lands here in greater numbers than anywhere else.
In the far north is the Tuscaren Glacier. The frozen shelves of thawing ice has become home to all manner of creatures, including high-ranking servants of the goddess of the underworld, Hel.
In the center, carved ornately into the side of the largest mountain, is the home of the Troll Fathers, Trollheim. When word last left its halls, it was to warn of the ongoing siege by the Morvalt.
