Seeking the Sobekite
How to unlock the first modern MMO dungeon in Dark Age of Camelot history!
Eden’s first major endgame dungeon is Sobekite Eternal, originally where the second Master Level trial took place, now it is repurposed for eight players to fight against bosses with advanced mechanics.
Before you run off to claim your high utility ROGs however, you will be required to complete a short pre-quest first in order to unlock access to the dungeon.
The quest, titled “Seeking the Sobekite” can be picked up from your realm’s king in his throne room and is fairly straight forward.
The quest is a simple kill-and-return quests, wherein you have to travel to one of your realm’s Shrouded Isles zones and kill a single enemy: the Envoy of Herja. The envoy can be found in the following zones, depending on your realm:
On Albion, she will be nestled among her king, the marooned viking raiders, in Gwyddneau.
On Hibernia, she will be within the monster-infested cave that is hidden behind the waterfall in Cothrom Gorge.
On Midgard, she will have taken refuge with the Redcap tomte who live in the ruins on the glacier shelf far to the north of Gripklosa Mountains.
To get to her on Albion, teleport to Caer Diogel and buy a dragonfly ticket to Clifton, making sure to jump off near the river.
To get to her on Hibernia, teleport to the grove of Aalid Feie and run north into Cothrom Gorge.
To get to her on Midgard, teleport to Bjarken and make your way north.
She will be red to a level 50 but is not that tough a fight for most classes capable of dealing decent damage. She attacks fast due to dual wielding swords, with which she uses styles that inflict Bleeding, and has access to a mesmerization spell, which is not a big problem if you are solo, as she will immediately break it with melee attacks or the Bleeding effect she put on you.
Once she is dead, she will drop a Bifrost Shard. Return to the king and he will ask you to deliver the Bifrost Shard to the dockmasters in the Shrouded Isles.
On Albion, travel to Gothwaite Harbour and head towards the dock behind the houses.
On Hibernia, head northwest down to the river.
On Midgard, head west down to the shore.
Once the Bifrost Shard has been given over, you will now have access to Sobekite Eternal.
On the docks nearby is also a Banished Aqua Soldier, from whom you can accept the quest “Slay the Sobekite.” It involves entering the newly unlocked dungeon and killing each of the bosses and rewards you with 1200 Luna Coins.
