INTRODUCTION

Monsters & Memories has many different skills for you to level. Below is a list of each skill available in the game and what they are associated with. Cast the associated spell or perform the associated action in order to level them up and increase their effectiveness.


SPELLS

Abjuration

Available to: Beastmaster, Cleric, Druid, Elementalist, Enchanter, Inquisitor, Necromancer, Paladin, Ranger, Shadow Knight, Shaman, Spellblade, Wizard

Associated with: Protective buffs and determines who likely it is that your spell will succeed.


Alteration

Available to: Beastmaster, Cleric, Druid, Elementalist, Enchanter, Inquisitor, Necromancer, Paladin, Ranger, Shadow Knight, Shaman, Spellblade, Wizard

Associated with: Heals, de-buffs and crowd control, and determines who likely it is that your spell will succeed.


Channeling

Available to: Beastmaster, Cleric, Druid, Elementalist, Enchanter, Inquisitor, Necromancer, Paladin, Ranger, Shadow Knight, Shaman, Spellblade, Wizard

Not associated with any type of spells but instead partially (along with Dexterity) determines how resistant you are to interruption.


Conjuration

Available to: Beastmaster, Cleric, Druid, Elementalist, Enchanter, Inquisitor, Necromancer, Paladin, Ranger, Shadow Knight, Shaman, Spellblade, Wizard

Associated with: Summoning of pets, conjuring of items and food/drink, damage-over-time spells, and determines who likely it is that your spell will succeed.


Divination

Available to: Beastmaster, Cleric, Druid, Elementalist, Enchanter, Inquisitor, Necromancer, Paladin, Ranger, Shadow Knight, Shaman, Spellblade, Wizard

Associated with: Spells that affect vision, invisibility, illusion, and find corpse spells, and determines who likely it is that your spell will succeed.


Evocation

Available to: Beastmaster, Cleric, Druid, Elementalist, Enchanter, Inquisitor, Necromancer, Paladin, Ranger, Shadow Knight, Shaman, Spellblade, Wizard

Associated with: Direct damage spells, and determines who likely it is that your spell will succeed.


Meditation

Available to: Bard, Beastmaster, Cleric, Druid, Elementalist, Enchanter, Inquisitor, Necromancer, Paladin, Ranger, Shadow Knight, Shaman, Spellblade, Wizard

Not associated with any type of spells but instead partially (along with the higher of Intelligence or Wisdom) determines how much mana you regenerate per tick.

INNATE

Acrobatics

Available to: Archer, Bard, Beastmaster, Fighter, Inquisitor, Monk, Paladin, Ranger, Rogue, Shadow Knight, Spellblade

Associated with: Kick and feign death abilities.

Martial

Available to: Archer, Bard, Beastmaster, Fighter, Inquisitor, Monk, Paladin, Ranger, Rogue, Shadow Knight, Spellblade

Associated with: The use of throwing weapons and taunts.


Might

Available to: Archer, Bard, Beastmaster, Fighter, Inquisitor, Monk, Paladin, Ranger, Rogue, Shadow Knight, Spellblade

Associated with: Melee attack abilities.


Subterfuge

Available to: Bard, Monk, Ranger, Rogue

Associated with: Sneak, Stealth, Rogue abilities.

Valor

Available to: Archer, Bard, Beastmaster, Fighter, Inquisitor, Monk, Paladin, Ranger, Rogue, Shadow Knight, Spellblade

Associated with: Fighter stances, Charge, Monk styles and the “Mend” ability


WEAPON

Archery

Available to: Archer, Beastmaster, Fighter, Inquisitor, Paladin, Ranger, Rogue, Shadow Knight, Spellblade

Determines, along with Dexterity, the accuracy of bows.


Bludgeoning

Available to: All

Determines, along with Dexterity, the accuracy of hammers, maces, and staves.


Piercing

Available to: Archer, Bard, Beastmaster, Elementalist, Enchanter, Fighter, Inquisitor, Necromancer, Ranger, Rogue, Shadow Knight, Shaman, Spellblade, Wizard

Determines, along with Dexterity, the accuracy of daggers and spears.


Slashing

Available to: Archer, Bard, Beastmaster, Druid, Fighter, Inquisitor, Necromancer, Paladin, Ranger, Rogue, Shadow Knight, Spellblade, Wizard

Determines, along with Dexterity, the accuracy of swords.


Throwing

Available to: Archer, Bard, Beastmaster, Fighter,Monk, Ranger, Rogue, Spellblade

Determines, along with Dexterity, the accuracy of throwing daggers.

COMBAT

Block

Available to: Fighter, Inquisitor, Monk, Paladin, Shadow Knight, Spellblade

Not associated with any type of spells but instead partially (along with Agility) determines how frequently you will block attacks.


Defense

Available to: All

Not associated with any type of spells but instead partially (along with Armor Class) determines how much damage you take.


Dodge

Available to: Archer, Bard, Beastmaster, Fighter, Inquisitor, Monk, Paladin, Ranger, Rogue, Shadow Knight, Spellblade

Not associated with any type of spells but instead partially (along with Agility) determines how frequently you will dodge attacks.

Double Attack

Available to: Archer, Fighter, Inquisitor, Monk, Paladin, Ranger, Rogue, Shadow Knight, Spellblade

Associated with: Your ability to perform two attacks simultaneously.


Dual Wield

Available to: Archer, Bard, Beastmaster, Fighter, Monk, Ranger, Rogue, Spellblade, Wizard

Associated with: Your chance to hit with off-hand weapons.


Hand-to-Hand

Available to: All

Associated with: Your chance to hit enemies when unarmed.


Offense

Available to: All

Associated with: Your damage dealt with all weapon types


Parry

Available to: Archer, Beastmaster, Fighter, Inquisitor, Paladin, Ranger, Rogue, Shadow Knight, Spellblade

Not associated with any type of spells but instead partially (along with Agility) determines how frequently you will parry attacks.


Triple Attack

Available to: Fighter, Monk

Associated with: Your ability to perform three attacks simultaneously.


NON-COMBAT

Alcohol Tolerance

Available to: All

Associated with: Reduces the negative effects of being durnk.


Commerce

Available to: All

Associated with: Makes prices at merchants more favourable to you, whether selling or buying. Also unlocks the Haggle ability and allows you to receive tips from merchants about where to sell your items for higher prices.


Foraging

Available to: All

Associated with: Your ability to successfully forage for items using the Forage ability.


Riding

Available to: All

Associated with: Your ability to purchase and speed while riding your mount.


Safe Fall

Available to: Bard, Beastmaster, Monk, Rogue

Associated with: Your ability to take less damage when falling.


Sense Heading

Available to: All

Associated with: Your ability to successfully determine your current heading when using the Sense Heading ability.


Swimming

Available to: All

Associated with: The speed at which you swim and how long you can hold your breath underwater.


Tracking

Available to: Bard, Druid, Ranger

Associated with: Your ability to successfully determine which enemies are nearby.


BARD

Brass Instruments

Available to: Bard

Associated with: The use of horn instruments, damage-over-time songs.


Musicianship

Available to: Bard

Associated with: All songs.


Percussion Instruments

Available to: Bard

Associated with: The use of drum instruments, buffing songs.


Singing

Available to: Bard

Associated with: Shouts.


Stringed Instruments

Available to: Bard

Associated with: The use of lute instruments, healing, movement, haste and crowd control songs.


Wind Instruments

Available to: Bard

Associated with: The use of flute instruments, exploration songs.
