THE LAIR OF THOSE THAT HUNT IN THE MIST
Deep in the northern mountains of the vale of Mularn, bones are piled high with reverent care. If you see the bone piles, turn around. If you hear the chanting, it is too late. The bear-headed warriors of the mist already know of your intrusion.
Within the cave network below the great mountains of Midgard’s frontier, human skin-drums and bone flutes echo from the depths, barely drowning out the screams of the poor bastards unlucky enough to survive their encounter with the warriors of the mist. No one dies quickly down here, with skin being slowly stripped in thin slices and consumed in a barbaric perversion of civilized society.
A middling group of adventurers may have the strength to survive the mist and arrive at the cave entrance with enough strength left over to clear out this den of brutality before more victims are flayed and consumed.
