Land of Atum
THE VALLEY OF ANCIENT KINGS AND GODS
Supposing you make friends with either the Mau or the Setian to secure safe passage, or just bypass them entirely, you will find yourself in the Lands of Atum. A land of wonder and magic.
In the center of the land lies the great pyramid, built by the ancient Atlanteans and whose purpose is unknown. The best guess as to its purpose that scholars have come up with, is that it is supposedly built to guard some great scaled beast.
North of the river lies a great fortress of the Setians, the Temple of Storms. According to ancient Mau legends, the vile Setians once stole a precious gift which was to be given to one of the Mau by an Atlantean. However, before the gift could be delivered, the Setians ambushed the Atlantean and stole the gift and left the Atlantean for dead in the desert.
In the northwest corner of the Land of Atum, lies the great necropolis of Ma’ati, also known as the Halls of Ma’ati. A transitory place where Setian burial rituals are administered and the last rites recited for the dead before their journey into the afterlife.
