Iarnwood

Should you wish to see the great iarnwood trees, keep your wits about you, for nowhere else in Aegir is danger so ever-present. Two-headed wolves, raptors, half-chimeric dogs and more are just what you’ll encounter before even entering the forest. As you get deeper, the enemies get bigger. Angrier. Stranger.

Despite being called ironwood trees, they do not require any kind of smithing to work with. In contrast to their counter-parts on the mainland, who are excellent smiths, the Iron Dwarves of Iarnwood are exceptional woodworkers. Only they have mastered the techniques of bending and shaping ironwood, and they protect this knowledge fiercely from any intruder. But perhaps there is a way to earn their favour. They might not teach you their secrets, but they will at least keep their griffons from plucking your eyes out.
