THE FAERIE QUEEN DOES NOT SUFFER INTRUDERS IN HER CURSED REALM
A cursed land, filled with cursed beings, gathered here at the faerie queen’s behest.
The faerie queen used to rule Hibernia, before the coming of Man. The Elves and Lurikeen were safely hidden away beyond the Veil, the Firbolg were her slaves, and the Celts would be her doom. Though none are quite sure how the Celts first arrived on Hibernia’s shores, they wasted no time setting about making this land their own. What was once an island almost entirely covered in old growth forests, was now becoming a land capable of sustaining humans. Trees were cleared to make room for fields, stone was hewn from the ground to make houses. For all the faeries’ magical gifts, it was not enough to stop the sturdy, ferocious Celts, who after many bloody skirmishes managed to free the Firbolg and gained an ally in their war. Eventually the Faerie Queen and her remaining forces was pushed back to the Cursed Forest, a place neither Celt nor Firbolg was willing to follow to finish off the remaining members of the faerie court.
Since those ancient days, the queen has bided her time, plotting her revenge and forming alliances of convenience. Now the Cursed Forest teems with unnatural life. Fomorians, Leprechauns, Finliaths, Pooka and more now serve the Faerie Queen, waiting for Hibernia to be distracted by the realm war.
