Catacombs of Cardova

There has always been very little known Roman presence in Cornwall, save for the villa that for the longest time was assumed to just be the vacation home of some southern eccentric. No locals were permitted inside the walls of the villa, a decree that the gate guards enforced violently. One day, the gate guards simply vanished and the locals once again dared to venture closer. The villain proved to clearly belong to someone of great importance but what really shocked the villagers was the tomb located a short distance west of the villa.

Here they found what was clearly a Briton burial tomb but they were not aware of anyone prominent enough to warrant such an ornate burial site having ever lived nearby. In their clumsy exploration they managed to knock down a recently erected brick wall and what they found beyond the wall was clearly of Roman make. Whatever questions they had regarding this exceptional tomb was quickly put aside however as the clacking of bones and howling of angry spirits soon drove them out of the tomb and into their homes. Since then, the area is once again not visited by the locals but this time entirely of their own choosing.

A seasoned group of adventurers might be able to uncover the mysteries of this hallowed site and put an end to the restless spirits that haunt its halls.
