Caillte Garran
THE BORDERLANDS OF THE WAR AGAINST THE FOMORIANS
When leaving Domnann, either stay within the forest or follow the river. Within the “plains” of Caillte Garran lurks the enemy. The Fomorians have been fought to a standstill for now, but it has been hard won. The forces of Hibernia control precious little territory here, with only the outpost of Droighaid on the south side of the river.
The clear cut swathes for forest are now overrun with Fomorians, who have started building towns of their own, as more and more of them pour out from the depths.
The road north within the forest heads towards Vigilant Rock and is still safe, unlike the road towards the Vale of Balor. Any adventurer hoping to take the fight further into the Fomorian homeland must brave the perils along the road to the east.
