Caer Sidi
THE FORTRESS OF MORGANNA LE FAY
Once a legendary fortress of defenders from all across the island of Avalon, now it is nothing but a cold and darkened hall where song and cheer and feasting have no home. Only the dragging sounds of shambling horrors and chattering of skulls echo in these halls now.
During its founding, the Avalonians, who are said to be touched by the same arcane energies as the elves of Hibernia, felt that something was amiss in this location. If you stood on the shores and stared out to see, it is said that the ocean would stretch on forever and no boat that crested the horizon here would ever be seen again.
Fearing that the Veil was thinning in this place, they constructed Caer Sidi to stand vigil against the creatures that might one day burst forth from the Otherworld.
At the top of the tallest tower, Morganna le Fay supposedly waits for those brave or foolish enough to challenge what remains of her rule over Avalon.
