Legends tell that the Troll Fathers lived in a great mountain city on a mystical island.

One day, a legend walked into Jordheim.

A great troll, who spoke like no troll in all of Midgard, walked into King

Eirik’s chamber.

He spoke of savages beyond the mist, sweeping across the mystical island, battering the doors of a great mountain city. They were the Morvalt.

He also spoke of savages who were not savage. Savages who listened to the Troll Fathers. Savages who hated the savage.

They were the Valkyn and they needed Midgard’s help, for they had listened to the Troll Fathers. And now brother killed brother. Morvalt killed Valkyn.

Following their rebellion against their Morvalt overlords, the Valkyn founded the city of Aegirhamn as their new capital city. It is as primitive as they are but when vengeful slavemasters and saber-toothed cats stalk your every move, decoration is best left for safer times.

It was also here that the first Norseman sailors, guided by the Troll Father, landed in their dragonship after finally piercing the mist that had hidden the continent away.

In the Valkyn, the Norse saw the iron will and determination to forge your own fate.

In the Norse, the Valkyn saw the means to kill their masters, and gain a purpose in the defense of their new home.

Aegir’s Landing a land of relative peace, with few morvalt having discovered where their former slaves have fled to. The Valkyn have also taken great strides to not upset their neighbours, the coastal Musslaklan, primitive ancient humans. Most of the wildlife is peaceful, assuming you keep your distance. Mygga, mammoths and saber-toothed cats make up the majority of creatures of the land here.
