Midgard
THE RUGGED LAND WHERE HONOR AND STRENGTH ARE ALL
The realm of Midgard is a land of ice and snow, of mountains and valleys, where mists regularly descent to envelop entire forests and cover the prowling of the horrors that lurk in the dark corners of the earth.
The land of Midgard is seen as dull and cold, with snow blanketing large parts of it, but nothing could be further from the truth. It is a land of myths and sagas for good reason.
In the north, snow-capped mountains are home to predators and bandits alike. Great cats hide behind jagged rocks, the dishonored outcasts form great bandit leagues and primitive tribes of bone-eaters hunt in the mist. In the far north, those who mistake Midgard for being merely a land of the mundane will be proven fools, as the divide between the nine realms of Yggdrasil narrows and the gate to Muspelheim lies bare for all who wish to challenge the children of Surtr lies wide open.
In the south, mountains give way to deep and dark forests, valleys and swamps. In Myrkwood Forest, terrors from the depths of the world expand their slave-empire. In Skova Ravine, perversions of Mankind hunt in great packs, their mournful howls echoing through the valleys. In Vanern Swamp, great tribes of jotun eke out a meager existence with their tamed pets.
