Eden

On Eden it is possible to change the appearance of your armour and weapons, with the exception of crafted legendary weapons.

To do so, simply find an appearance you like and then go either your realm’s capital city or frontier relic town and find the following NPCs:

To create a pattern of an item’s appearance, give the item you want to use the appearance of to the NPC and they will ask you for 200 gold in exchange.

Once you’ve paid, the pattern will be in your inventory. Right-clicking the pattern will display its tool-tip and you will see that you are able to preview the appearance. Put the “Reskin Preview” ability onto your bar and use it close to the NPC to ensure that you are satisfied with your appearance.

If you are not satisfied with it, then you can sell the pattern back to any vendor for a full 200 gold refund.

If you are happy with the appearance, then simply put your weapon or armour piece into your inventory, left-click the pattern to pick it up and then left-click again on top of your gear to apply the pattern, same as if you would apply a dye or luster.

Restrictions:

You cannot change the appearance of crafted legendary weapons.
- Due to their unique debuff, being able to tell which element of weapon you are wielding takes precedence over appearance.
You cannot change the appearance of your weapon to that of different type.
- You cannot change a weapon’s appearance to that of a different damage type or skill line. For instance, on Midgard you cannot make an Axe look like a Hammer. On Albion you cannot make a Crush Two-Handed weapon look like a Slash Two-Handed weapon, etc.
You cannot change the appearance of your armour to that of a different type.
- You cannot change your cloth robe into a plate chestpiece, etc.
