When the sickly and the infirm, the cowardly and dishonourable die, their souls are claimed by Hel, the reviled daughter of Loki, and sent to her realm of Helheim. Back among the living in Midgard, the cultists of Hel known as Spiritmasters, can beseech their patron for one of these souls in their task of furthering the queen of the underworld’s goals.

When Fimbulwinter has come and the last horn sounds, the silent march of the dead will bring doom upon gods and men alike.

Spiritmasters are Midgard’s premier pet caster, with access to the strongest summoned pet in the game as well as strong de-buffs and powerful point-blank area-of-effect damaging spells.

PvE:

Spiritmasters specializing into the Summoning skill line will have a very safe and steady solo levelling experience due to the strong buffs for their pet that they will receive. The Darkness skill line will provide a more hands-on experience.

In groups, Spiritmasters are primarily wanted for their strong point-black area-of-effect damaging spells, which they receive from the Suppression skill line. Simply wait for your group’s tank(s) to have sufficient aggro on the enemies and then unleash destruction upon them.

RvR:

Spiritmasters make for good-to-strong solo duellists. The Darkness skill line gives access to strong single-target direct damage spells as well as mesmerization spells for crowd control, charm spells should you desire a different pet and strong de-buffs.

In organized groups, Spiritmasters are often found as part of “Bomb Groups,” which are groups focused around the devastating power of point-blank area-of-effect spells. These groups rely on quick strikes in the open field and clever use of positioning in sieges. Otherwise, Darkness Spiritmasters are highly valued for their resistance de-buff, allowing other Midgard spellcasters to vastly increase their damage potential for quick, deadly bursts.
