Minstrel
THE VIRTUOSO OF ALBION
AVAILABLE ON: Eden, Blackthorn, Live
How will history remember the deeds of noble knights, pious priests or wizened wizards or rambunctious rogues if not for the humble Minstrel? From the tallest ivory tower to the lowest sunken-in-the-mud hovel, everyone who has passed through either or in-between want to leave some kind of legacy behind. And the Minstrels of Albion gladly provide.
Welcomed into any group for the strong buffs they provide, Minstrels are an incredibly versatile class who also brings crowd control, damage, charm and stealth.
PvE:
Minstrels are decent at solo PvE, with good fighting skills, the ability to charm a pet and songs to help them recover after fights.
In groups, Minstrels’ first priority is typically to crowd control any additional enemies that the group is not prepared to deal with yet. After that, it is simply a matter of providing damage during combat and songs when out of combat to facilitate a faster recovery period for your group.
RvR:
Minstrels are very strong duellists due to their charm, instant stun, stealth and mesmerisation spells. Stealth lets them pick their fights, mesmerize lets them pick apart teams.
Minstrels are integral to any group due to their songs and strong crowd control. While Sorcerers are the main crowd controller of Albion, Minstrels have the ability to cast mesmerisation spells while moving through their flute instrument, which allows them to stay safe while disrupting the enemy. Additionally, with their two instant cast damage dealing spells, Minstrels are very potent disruptors, being able to very quickly interrupt up to three spell-casters. This is in further addition to also being able to send their charmed pet to harass the enemy back-line while the Minstrels themselves switch from instrument to weapon and begin to deal damage as well.
